Plant More Trees

green tree in the middle of grass field

33 new street trees will be planted in the area from next year.  If you have a tree planted near you, please adopt it.  Trees need regular watering, especially between May and September, to help them establish in the first 5 years of being planted.

You can register your interest to water a tree here.  You can also find information on the stakes of new street trees and can register using the Trees for Streets QR code.  This will help the council monitor the health of a tree.  Check out the Trees for Streets website to learn more.

Here’s a short video on why trees are important.  There’s also research to show that planting street trees reduces crime, so please help by adopting a street tree today!
